Growth Without Displacement: Affordable Housing

The COVID-19 crisis has exacerbated evictions and other housing issues in the Jane-Finch community. At the same time, plans for new housing developments have not slowed down.

  • What new housing developments have been proposed in Jane-Finch?

  • How are resident leaders and grassroots groups responding to these projects and the community’s urgent housing needs?

  • How could we work collectively to prevent further displacement and guarantee affordable housing for all community members?

Come out and share your priorities for affordable housing and community benefits in Jane-Finch!

Financial Support

Jane Finch Housing Coalition is a non-partisan grassroots organization. We rely hugely on the support of residents, volunteers, students, and organizational partners. We are currently not supported by any funders. We welcome conversations with anyone who would like to support our work!

We are a proud former recipient of the Toronto Foundation's 2019 Vital Signs

Grant , which recognizes 25 Toronto community leaders and organizations for their visionary work tackling inequities in the city each year.

We would also like to thank artists Phat Le Benjamin de Boer and the Bentway for their 2020 donation, as part of an effort to support the reinvestment of artist production budgets into community initiatives and aid networks during COVID-19.
